times are rough and I've got too much stuff

I don't consider myself to be a "stuff" obsessed person. I have what I need, I use what I have...it works out.

Moving a few times has helped me weed out all the random crap from my closet and under my bed. My room at my parents' house no longer looks like a picture of me in high school, thanks to living at home my junior year. My room at my apartment is pretty minimal too, and I think this move will be the easiest of them all. I really don't feel like I have a whole lot of "stuff."

There are 2 things, however, that I am sentimental about and hardly ever throw/give away. One of those things is books! I have so many books but I don't think that's a bad thing. I love to read books more than once and so unless I really hated it, I will keep it instead of taking it over to McKay's.

The other thing is birthday cards. I honestly don't think I have ever thrown one away. There is a box under my bed with cards dating back to the day I was born. Who knows what I will eventually do with them but for now it's nice to know that I have cards from Granddaddy and my Mimi and (great) Granddaddy who aren't alive anymore.

I also pointed out to Bethany that I have only 2 pieces of furniture all to my name, because my bedroom furniture at home is technically mom and dad's. My 2 things? Both bookcases.

(if you don't know what the title of this post comes from...you should learn. It will be good for you)
